Spring has finally arrived! In Japan, while cherry blossoms are capturing everyone's attention, the countdown to the new season's tea harvest has also begun. We'll be drunk with shincha tasting in a few months.

For now, we're happy to present a collection of pottery from Japan, much of it from the town of Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture. I lived there in 1999-2000, and made numerous trips back in the following few years.

The people and pottery of Mashiko definitely have a special place in my heart.

We hope that you will also enjoy the warmth of Mashiko-yaki.

The shape is the easiest in which to whisk matcha, and is also suitable for all seasons. Cream-colored glaze with hints of pink, and an unglazed foot. H. 3.125"(8cm) x Dia. 4.875"(12.5cm.)
